About Our Children's Ministry
The Children's Ministry at LWC Church is dedicated to partnering with parents to raise children who love God and live according to His Word. We provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can learn biblical truths in age-appropriate ways, build meaningful relationships, and develop a personal faith that will guide them throughout their lives.
Our team of trained and passionate volunteers is committed to creating engaging experiences that help children understand God's love and develop a strong spiritual foundation. Through interactive Bible lessons, worship, games, crafts, and small group discussions, we make learning about Jesus exciting and relevant to children's everyday lives.

Weekly Programs
Sunday Children's Church
Our Sunday services provide children with a complete worship experience tailored to their age level. Each service includes:
- Engaging worship designed specifically for children
- Age-appropriate Bible teaching with practical applications
- Small group discussions to build relationships and reinforce lessons
- Fun activities, games, and crafts that complement the Bible lesson
- Take-home materials to help parents continue the conversation at home

Our midweek program offers children a fun and enriching experience focused on building character and deepening faith:

Our Curriculum
At LWC Church, we use a comprehensive, Bible-based curriculum that is engaging, age-appropriate, and designed to help children grow spiritually. Our curriculum follows a three-year cycle that covers the major stories and teachings of the Bible, ensuring children receive a well-rounded biblical education.

Safety & Security
The safety and security of your children is our highest priority. We have implemented comprehensive measures to ensure that every child in our care is protected and parents can worship with peace of mind.
Our Safety Protocols
- Secure Check-In/Check-Out System: Children can only be picked up by the person with the matching security tag.
- Background Checks: All volunteers undergo thorough background checks before serving in our Children's Ministry.
- Two-Adult Rule: We maintain a minimum of two screened adults in every classroom at all times.
- First Aid Training: Key staff members are certified in first aid and CPR.
- Allergy Awareness: We maintain records of children's allergies and medical needs, with protocols to address them.
- Security Team: Trained security personnel monitor the children's area during all services.
- Emergency Procedures: We conduct regular drills and have clear protocols for various emergency situations.

Visit the Children's Check-In Desk
Located at the entrance to the Children's Wing. Our friendly volunteers will assist you.

Register Your Child
First-time visitors will complete a brief registration form with contact and allergy information.

Receive Security Tags
You and your child will receive matching security tags with a unique code.

Escort to Appropriate Classroom
A volunteer will guide you to your child's age-appropriate classroom.

Pick-Up After Service
Present your security tag to pick up your child. Only the person with the matching tag can check out your child.
Important Note
If you lose your security tag, you will need to show identification that matches the information provided during registration.

With over 15 years of experience in children's education, Esther leads our ministry with passion and wisdom.

Special Needs Ministry
Inclusive Worship Experience
At LWC Church, we believe every child should have the opportunity to learn about God's love in a way that meets their unique needs. Our Special Needs Ministry, "Treasured Ones," provides individualized support to ensure all children can participate in our programs.
We offer one-on-one buddies, sensory-friendly spaces, and adapted curriculum to create an inclusive environment where every child can encounter God and build meaningful relationships.

Parent Support Group
We also offer a support group for parents of children with special needs, providing encouragement, resources, and community.

Important Note
Please label all items with your child's name. Inform us of any allergies or special needs during registration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I stay with my child during the service?
Parents are welcome to stay with their children, especially during their first few visits. We encourage you to help your child feel comfortable before transitioning to drop-off.
How do you handle food allergies?
We take allergies very seriously. We maintain a list of children's allergies and ensure all volunteers are aware. For severe allergies, we can create allergen-free environments and will contact you before serving any food.
What if my child needs me during the service?
If your child needs you during the service, we'll text or call you using the contact information provided during check-in. For nursing mothers, we have a comfortable mother's room available.
How do you handle discipline issues?
We use positive reinforcement and gentle redirection. If a child is disruptive, we'll work with them individually. For persistent issues, we'll partner with parents to develop strategies that help the child succeed in the classroom.
Do you have activities during the week?
Yes! Besides our Sunday programs, we offer Wednesday Kids Club, seasonal events, and family activities throughout the year. Check our calendar for upcoming events.
How can I get involved as a volunteer?
